Merry Christmas!

Happy Holidays to all!

A Christmas Card

Image
Challenge 58 theme at Pattie's Creations Challenge blog is 'Christmas Card'. As the DT Coordinator, I wanted the theme to be specific, meaning a card only! The image is titled 'Pattieboop and Allie Waiting for Santa', and I think it is so darned cute! I had digitally colored the image last year and decided to use it again. I love digitally coloring images for that reason, it can be reused as many times as you want!

Thanksgiving Place Cards

Image
Today's creation is 16 place cards for our nephew's Thanksgiving dinner. We were invited, but had to decline. I volunteered to make the place cards for their table. Our theme for Pattie's Creations Challenge #57 is 'Harvest Time or Thanksgiving Holiday' and runs until Thursday December 6th. We have a sponsor, Dude Time Doodles, who is offering a $10 voucher to their store to the random winner. The image I used is called 'Bountiful Blessings' from their store. Below is a larger view of the image digitally colored by me.

Pattie's Birthday

Image
Today is my sister Pattie's Birthday! I decided to go with a sentiment as my image for her card. I created the plaid paper in Corel. The sentiment is from Doodle Pantry. I used alphabet beads to spell her name, along with some silver beads, and strung them on a thin gauge wire. I made some Curly Q ends on the beads, and then placed them on a royal blue ribbon. To finish the card I added some hot fix gems from Pizzazzaplenty on the top corners.

Hi There!

Image
I love 'Phoebe the Pig Fairy' image from Pattie's Creations! It's time for another challenge (#56) at Pattie's Creations Challenge Blog. Our theme is easy, 'Birthdays'. My sister Pattie sent a link for a tutorial on how to create Plaids, to use as a designer paper or a background as a fill, in Photoshop. Since I work mostly with Corel, I figured it out using the tute as a guideline. The image was digitally colored by me quite some time ago, but I don't remember ever using it. Using birthday balloons text, I filled the balloons with a white background and layered it on the plaid paper. A few pearl embellies and a ribbon complete my card.

Celebrate

Autumn colors, that's our theme over at Pattie's Creations Challenge #55. You have until November 1st to enter a creation. The image I used is titled 'Cheerleader Pattieboop' and can be purchased at Pattie's Etsy Shop. I started with kraft paper for my base. Next is a DP from a Halloween pack. My sentiment is a clear acrylic stickie that I've had for ages. I digitally colored the image in bright autumn colors. To finish the card, I placed an orange ribbon with glittery white dots, and added 3 flowers at the corner. Challenges Entered Lady Anne's - Anything Goes

Hip to be Square

Image
Square Luminaria - Lid Full View Candle Glow - Battery tea light
This creation is for 'Craft Your Passion Challenges' whose theme is Hip to be Square! My sister Pattie, of Pattie's Creations, is sponsoring this challenge, and Pattie asked the DT for volunteers to make a creation. I came up with this square Luminaria, by designing it like a tissue box cover, but completely square. The bottom is open to place a battery-operated tea light for that spooky effect. The image I used from Pattie is called 'Allie Witch with Pumpkin'. I used a Halloween DP that looks like spider webs. Hope you've enjoyed my Luminaria!

Christmas Tag

Image
Merry Christmoose! I know it's not December, but just had to say it! I love this image, he is so cute. Don't know if you realize this, but if you digitally color (as opposed to hand coloring) your image, you can print it out as many times as you want, and it's already done! So this little guy was already in my computer files and I decided to work with it again. Today's challenge at Pattie's Creations Challenge 54 is Tags. You have until October 18th to enter our challenge. The red Christmas paper is from Bearly Mine Designs.

Doggie Treat Box

Image
View of Lid Front View I love this image from Pattie's Creations, titled 'Dance with Me'! Our challenge 53 with a theme of Anything Goes, starts today and runs until October 4th. This box is super easy to make. I used a 12" x 12" piece of designer paper as my base/bottom of the box. I put the scores in all the right places, including diagonal scores. The lid was made by winging it after the bottom was complete. I sort of white-washed the lid edges with a white inkpad to mute down the bright blue color. It's no surprise that I digitally colored the image. I placed some puffy words on the front edge of the lid. When I decide what doggie we will give this to, that's when the inside will get filled with some treats. Since we have a female dog, I'm thinking that we'll give it to Max, our nephew's boy dog. Then it will make sense with the image!

All Occasion

Image
Today's card is my DT creation for Pattie's Creations Challenge #52. Our theme this week is 'Embossing of any style'. You have until Thursday, September 20th to enter our challenge. Card Details: Base layer is a bright yellow cardstock. Next layer is a royal blue CS that was embossed with my Cuttlebug. Then I added another layer of  a brown textured CS that I also embossed with my Cuttlebug. The image used is 'Indian Princess Pattieboop', and I digitally colored it with Corel using some layers. I decided to try out my new heat gun to emboss the feather on her hairband. It didn't raise as much as I would have liked it to. My sentiment is from Doodle Pantry, and flowers and leaf embellishments are from my stash. CHALLENGES Entered: Lady Anne's Paper Crafts - Colour My Monday

Happy Birthday Tomasz

Image
Front View - Step Card Side View This has got to be the easiest and quickest step card I've made. I followed my own measurements and design for this. Our challenge #51 at Pattie's Creations has a theme of 'Birthdays'. I'd like to wish 2 members of our DT a Happy Birthday. Happy Birthday to Anne and Charlene!! The image I used from Pattie's Creations is called 'Dog Days of Summer' and it's too freakin' cute!! It's new home is with our great-nephew Tomasz whose birthday was in July.

Sad News

Vintage Lady ATC

Back View My ATC is for a Swap in Creating the Crafty Life. The theme is Vintage Lady. I like making my ATC's similar to a greeting card style. All images were found on the Internet. I distressed the edges of the front DP, and then sponged on ink on all exposed edges for effect. All of my embellishments are from Pizzazzaplenty.

Thinking of You

Image
View of 3 layers (Oval, main flower, flower center) In one of the groups I belong to, one of our member's son had passed away recently. Some of us are sending cards to the contact person and she will forward all on to her. It was our choice to make a 'Thinking of You' or 'Sympathy' worded card. The image I used is a Pre-Colored sheet with individual layer pieces to be cut around and placed with foam dots for dimension. You can get this sheet from Fred She Said Designs.

Memo Paper Holder

Image
Lid Front View Inside View Original Vinyl Paper Holder Inside of Original Paper Holder I thought it would be a cool idea to try to make one of these paper holders using strictly card stock. I had one technical issue with the lid not closing down, so I added that little metal X's and O's piece and that did the trick. I discovered my error was in my measurements being off by an 1/8". I altered my measurements for the next one that I'll make. It wasn't all that hard to make. Maybe I'll get adventurous and make a video or a tutorial of how I did it. Hmmm, we'll see! Anyway, this creation is my DT project for Pattie's Creations Challenge #50, and the theme is 'Anything but a Card'. The DP I used was cut twice and glued together to make it heavier, and to have that double-sided look. The image from Pattie is titled 'Purrfect Luv'.

Swan Love Pyramid

Image
FRONT VIEW SIDE VIEW IMAGE DIGITALLY COLORED CONVERTED to Oil Painting by Pattie Today's creation is my DT card for Pattie's Creations Challenge #49 with the theme of 'Animals or Insects'. I chose the image titled 'Swan Love' and made a Pyramid card. I had my sister, Pattie, convert the colored image to an oil painting effect in her Adobe Photoshop program. It's a favorite effect of mine. The DP is a free image from Free Vintage DigiStamps. It had color in it, but I converted it to a Black and White. We have a wedding coming up in November, so I'll save this for that occasion. Summertime Beach Scene

Image
Today's theme for Pattie's Creations challenge #48 is Summertime. I altered a Journal that had a travel theme to it, and I had found it at Walmart for a dollar months ago. I bought a few of them and this is the first one that I used. I digitally colored the images, yes images, there are 4 separate images used to create a Summertime Beach Scene. They are titled: 'Beach Pattieboop' (I removed the beach umbrella), 'Sun with Face', 'Sand Castle', and 'Allie in Fishbowl' (I removed the fishbowl). Visit Pattie's shop here! Needless to say this did take me a long time to create. Once I had all of my images merged, I colored it in with fills, patterns, and gradients. I did some minimal highlighting in areas for effect. The DP was also digitally created from a pattern. Finally, the sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps that I put some purple glitter in areas of the beach ball. I did leave the spine of the journal uncovered, since the color goes well with …
