Today's creation is a simple and easy Birthday card. The theme at Pattie's Creations Challenge #36 is Embossing. I used embossing folders on both the DP and the white cardstock. I dabbed some blue ink on the embossed areas of the cardstock, distressed the edges, and inked on some red on the distressed edges. The 'Cupcake' image is from Pattie's Creations, and it was a Freebie last year. I finished the card with some hotfix silver embellies.

Accessorize Me!

I'm in a Swap at Creating the Crafty Life, and the theme is Chunky Charms Vintage Keyring. I wasn't sure where to start, and then I remembered an accessory from Miche® called Charmers. Miche® is a company, much like other Hostess Home Party types, that sells handbags and accessories for them. I have quite a few of them, but never went to a home party, instead I purchased directly from their website. Now they have changed it so that you get a distributor in your area that you can order from. Anyway, back to the Charmers. They sell for $15.95, and for me that's a little too costly. So, I made my own for my handbags, and used the same style for the keyrings that I have to make. I haven't come up with a name yet for what I've made, but once I get these perfected, I might start selling them and then I'll need a name for them.

I've got my name for the charm accessories, '©That Charm Thing'.

Summer Lovin'

Today's creation features an image from 'Firecracker Designs'. It is part of CDAC's Progressive Challenge #10. I digitally colored the image. My green CS was embossed with a folder titled 'Bird Call' and it's the first time I'm using it.

Vintage Tea Bag Box

We're back at Pattie's Creations Challenge with our first challenge of the New Year. The theme for challenge #35 is Fancy Folds. For my creation I made a Treat or Candy box that I filled with tea bags instead of the usual. Full View
Closeup View The 'Vintage Tea Cup' image is from Pattie's Creations. I digitally colored the image. The tutorial for this box can be found at my friend Bev Code's post at her blog. I've made a few of these before and went with different dimensions than Bev. If I were making party favors I would go with the smaller one that Bev made. Where she used a 6" square of cardstock or DP, I used a 9" square and scored at 3" and 6". I've even made a bigger one with a 12" square and scored at 4" and 8". Whatever size you decide to make, you'll agree that these are so easy to make!
