Father's Day

This is my DT creation for Pattie's Creations Challenge #45, whose theme is 'Father's Day or card for a Guy'. Pattie made this image especially for me to use for my husband Frank's card. She knows him all too well, since he loves to go to the casinos and gamble.
I used a denim DP (he's always in jeans) that I distressed the edges a bit. At the corners I added some metallic embellies to simulate the studs on a pair of jeans. The image was already colored so I didn't have to do anything there. I printed the image out and then diecut with a scalloped circle. I masked the image and dabbed some ink using Dune from Color Box. Then I used some Charcoal ink from Color Box along the scalloped edges to give it a 'washed denim' look. I added some glossy accents to the hearts for effect. My sentiments finished up the card.

  1. Sandi, this looks really nice! I love the denim paper and I am sure Frank will love it.

  2. What a fun card for your husband. Love the sentiment with this.

  3. Fabulous card. How sweet that you got a special image just for your DH.

  4. Great card Sandi...I too love the denim paper that you used. How wonderful of Pattie to do an image with your hubby in mind. You did a wonderful job of the distressing in behind the image. I'm sure that your dh is going to love it!

Thank you for taking the time to comment on my post!
