Cassidy's Birthday and Tutorial

Our great-niece Cassidy is having her 8th Birthday on April 25th. I'm posting it early, as this is also my creation for Pattie's Creations Challenge #89 with a theme of 'Fancy Folds'.

Step Card Details:
- base is a white card stock
- plaid papers are digitally created by me
- image Gymnast Pattieboop 2 is digitally colored by me
- flowers are from Petaloo

Tutorial:
1 - Cut card stock to 7" by 10"
2 - Place stock on your scoreboard and score your 10" width at 4", 8", and at 9"
3 - For the front step, cut designer paper at 3/4" by 6 3/4"
4 - For the main panel, cut a solid color paper 3 3/4" by 6 3/4"
5 - Designer paper panels, cut 2 pieces at 1 1/2" by 3 3/4" and place them at 1/4" from either side of solid color paper
6 - My image was composed digitally, but you could fussy-cut your image and place it on the center of the main panel
7 - Add some embellishments and a sentiment
8 - Instead of putting wording on the inside of the card, place it on the rear panel

  1. Fun card Sandi! Love the fold and the colors. I remember when my daughter took gymnastics - this would have been perfect for back then. Cute, cute, cute! Hugz!

  2. Lovely card Sandi, love the bright colors your great niece will really like it.My youngest daughter went to gym when she was little, she looked so cute but not very dainty she was like a fairy elephant. she only went for 3 weeks and decided she would rather go to football training. At 18 she still plays football so it was a good discussion, crafty hugs Julie Ann
